Estimate only, not tax or financial advice. Federal tax here is your estimated yearly tax spread evenly across paychecks, not your employer’s exact withholding (which follows your W-4 and IRS Publication 15-T). It ignores health premiums, local taxes, credits and bonuses. State tax is a flat rate you choose.
How this works
Social Security is 6.2% of wages up to the 2026 limit of $184,500. Medicare is 1.45% of all wages, plus 0.9% Additional Medicare Tax that employers withhold on wages above $200,000. Federal income tax uses the 2026 brackets and standard deduction for your filing status.
