Put in your filing status and income to see roughly how much 2026 federal income tax you would owe, which bracket your last dollar falls in, and how the tax builds up bracket by bracket. It uses the 2026 standard deduction and tax brackets the IRS published in Rev. Proc. 2025-32.

Estimate only, not tax or financial advice. It covers regular federal income tax only, with the standard deduction. It leaves out tax credits (such as the child tax credit), itemized deductions, the extra deduction for people 65 and older, capital-gains rates, AMT, payroll taxes and state tax. Your actual tax return is what counts.
How this works
Your taxable income is your income minus pre-tax deductions minus the 2026 standard deduction ($16,100 single or married filing separately, $32,200 married filing jointly, $24,150 head of household). Each slice of taxable income is taxed at its bracket rate (10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35% and 37%), and the slices are added up.
